EP Opportunity in Gainesville, FL
You're stepping into a net-new Electrophysiology position created to support practice growth in a long-standing, physician-led cardiology group. This is a full-scope EP role with strong infrastructure, on-site surgical backup for complex cases, and a clear partnership pathway. Practice Overview
- You'll join a physician-led cardiology practice (nearly 40 years) with 23 board-certified physicians, including 2 EPs, plus 7-8 APPs
- Main hub at a respected community hospital in Gainesville with CT surgical support on-site for complex hospital-based procedures
- Procedures include complex/typical ablations, pacemaker/ICD implantation & management, loop recorders, Watchman, and structural EP-related procedures
- On-site ASC, accredited testing facilities, PET/CT, echo, nuclear cardiology, remote patient monitoring, and clinical research trials
Schedule
- Monday-Friday; typically 2 days in the lab/hospital and 3 days in clinic
- Clinic ramp target: 26-28 patients/day on full clinic days
- Call: 1:9 weekends; 1-2 weeknights per month (general call/rounding; typically out early afternoon; no STEMI requirement for EP)
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed salary: $450,000 (range $450,000-$500,000) with $25,000 guaranteed annual base increases in Years 2 and 3
- Sign-on bonus
- $100,000 forgivable retention loan paid upfront (forgiven over 3 years)
- 3-year track to partnership with no buy-in; post-partnership Documented earnings North of $650,000+
- 32 days PTO; malpractice and tail covered; relocation Assistance; W2 benefits include health/dental/vision and retirement (401(k) match details to be confirmed)
Candidate Requirements
- MD/DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Electrophysiology
- Open to practicing EPs and fellows; considering 2027 graduates
- No J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship
