Travel RN Job Details – Tuscaloosa, AL

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)
• Location: On-site in Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401
• Unit: Trauma Surgical Unit (Acute care trauma, ortho, urology)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/19/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00), every other weekend required
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed (option for 48 hours/week available)
• Parking: On-site
• Scrub Colors: Solid Navy
• EMR System: Meditech

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (18 months considered with at least 1 year in Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and urology patients
• Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for optimal patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists
• Float to other units and hospitals within the Alabama healthcare system as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Comply with hospital policies, dress code, and safety standards
