Key Job Details – Alabama Nursing Jobs Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 Healthcare Setting: General Surgical Unit (32 beds) Employment Type: Travel RN Contract Start Date: January 19, 2026 End Date: April 19, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 (12-hour night shifts, 19:00-07:00) Shift Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as needed Parking: On-site available Scrub Colors: Solid Navy EMR System: Meditech Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (18 months total RN experience preferred) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses) Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality postoperative care, including pain management, mobility assistance, and bedside procedures Monitor and assess patients using advanced telemetry equipment Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain a comfortable, healing environment tailored to each patient’s needs Accurately document care and interventions in the Meditech EMR system Float to other units or hospitals as required to support patient care Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Alabama and experience the best of Tuscaloosa while making a difference in patients’ lives.
