Ascension Saint Thomas Heart is seeking to add a new Full time General Cardiologist to our team at our clinic at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital.
With 541 licensed beds, this hospital provides adult specialty care to the more than two million residents of Middle Tennessee, Southwestern Kentucky and Northern Alabama
Comprehensive stroke center - The largest adult cardiac surgery and most comprehensive structural heart program in the region
Saint Thomas and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery.

This job location is NOT currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.
Requirements
BC/BE in Internal Medicine
Fellowship trained in General Cardiology
Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation preferred
Endovascular medicine certification preferred
Completion of 50-100 vascular interpretations annually
Outreach to other locations is required at least one day per week
Working in a excellent team atmosphere with other IC physicians and APPs
About Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. KY License also required if working in a Kentucky facility.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
