Overview:
Fellow - Cardiac Surgery/Cardiac Critical Care - Piedmont Heart Institute
Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Advanced Practice Cardiac Surgery/Cardiac Critical Care Fellow to join the cardiac team providing excellent patient care to our surgical patients. You will be joining a team of thirteen advanced practice providers and solely focus on cardiac surgery. This is a full-time fellowship opportunity.
This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nation's leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly-trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.
Responsibilities:
In this position you will:
- Round on post-op patients
- Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon
- EVH and chest closure in the OR
- Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care
- Provide care to LVAD patients

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters, Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited NP or PA program and National Board Certification
--or-- Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
Experience:
Cardiac Surgery/ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
