At SSM Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and we are seeking a Critical Care Advanced Practitioner (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to practice at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Practice at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility!
Requirements:
Graduate of a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Program
NPs must hold Acute Care certification
ACNP or PA Must have practice experience post education
Ability to obtain PA/NP licensure in Illinois
Team player and collaborative
Opportunity:
Nocturnist position working 7p-7a on a 7on/7off schedule (Tuesday to Tuesday) providing coverage in 16-bed CCU
The primary focus of this position will be assisting in providing high quality care to critical care patients including patient admissions and consults as well as seeing post-op surgical patients
On average, two patient admissions per night
Procedural experience in performing central and arterial lines as well as intubation highly desired; willing to train the right candidate
On-the-job training paired with a collaborating physician for support

Compensation for this role is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, medical specialty, labor market, and other qualifications. The posted pay range for this position is what SSM Health reasonably expects, in good faith, to offer based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This position may also be eligible for incentive pay. SSM Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
