About this role

Job Description

An exceptional opportunity is available a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join a premier, fully integrated cardiovascular institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

You will step into an immediate, high-volume practice within an expanding hospital-employed cardiovascular network. Supported by an established practicing EP, a dedicated team of EP Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and a massive primary care referral network, this role offers rapid ramp-up, modern procedural suites, and an enviable quality-of-life call structure. Both experienced physicians and graduating CCEP fellows are encouraged to apply.

Clinical Scope & Procedural Capabilities

  • 100% Focused EP Volume: Practice true subspecialty electrophysiology with minimal non-subspecialty administrative drag.
  • Comprehensive Procedure Mix: Full scope including complex ablations (AFib, VT, SVT), device implantations and management (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT), lead extractions, and Left Atrial Appendage Closures (Watchman/Amulet).
  • Robust APP Infrastructure: Dedicated EP-trained APPs see new outpatient consults, manage device checks, assist with inpatient follow-ups, allowing you to maximize lab procedural time.
  • Streamlined Single-Campus Practice: Clinic is located directly on-site at the hospital campus-no traveling between satellite facilities or split coverage across multiple hospital systems.

World-Class Procedural & Hospital Infrastructure

  • Dedicated Procedural Suites: Practice in a high-tech cardiac center featuring 2 dedicated EP labs, 3 Cardiac Cath Labs, and 1 brand-new Hybrid Operating Room.
  • On-Site Cardiovascular Services: Full cardiothoracic surgery backup 24/7, on-site stress lab, cardiac rehab, advanced cardiac imaging (ECHO, Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, and Nuclear Cardiology).
  • Health Informatics: Enterprise-wide Cerner (PowerChart) integrated across both the clinic and hospital for seamless documentation.

Work-Life Balance & Call Structure

  • EPs do not participate in call
  • Schedule Flexibility: Standard full-time schedule, with open receptivity to discussing a flexible arrangement for the right candidate.

Compensation & Comprehensive Benefits

  • Step into an elite financial framework backed by an 18-month income guarantee:
  • Base Salary Guarantee: Competitive MGMA-aligned guaranteed base salary transitioning into a lucrative wRVU productivity incentive structure.
  • Upfront Financial Incentives: Substantial Commencement Bonus.
  • Educational Debt Relief: Direct Hospital Student Loan Repayment Assistance.
  • Protection: Comprehensive Malpractice Coverage including full Tail Coverage.
  • Benefits Package: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, short/long-term disability, and executive retirement savings plans.
  • Professional Growth: Generous annual CME stipend plus paid CME leave, state licensure reimbursement, and society dues.
  • Relocation: Full relocation assistance package.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (CCEP).
  • Fellowship Training: Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship.
  • Experience Level: Both experienced physicians and graduating fellows are welcomed.
  • Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted Indiana medical license and Federal DEA.
  • Visa Status: Please note that J-1 waivers and H-1B visa sponsorships are not available for this position.
